I got new toy.

It is a naughty toy... it's called Bandit.

I adopted Bandit on Aug 23. It did not take long for me to fall in love with this black-and-white beauty, so the moment I saw its photo, my heart melted. Of course, the wise men advised me not to "judge a book by its cover", so I made an extra effort to get to know Bandit before adopting it. Bandit did not have it easy... it travelled all the way from Lousiville, Kentucky... to Grove City, Ohio.... to Northborough, MA... and finally to my humble abode. With much anticipation, I followed its progress everyday, often frustrated at the lack of a sense of urgency in the US Postal Service team. Finally on a grey and drizzling Tuesday, Aug 30... I received the email. "You have a package at the Tang Desk". My heart skipped a beat. It's here!! Trying not to seem too uncool, I calmly packed my bags and cycled at a leisurely pace home. Bandit had been waiting for me patiently for a few hours, and I could almost hear it squealing in joy as it saw me approach the front desk.

Ok I sian already. Haha... but I'm very happy with my racquet :) I think its very pretty and I like the feel of it... don't have to swing so hard anymore. Yay.

There once was a Prince named Bandit,
It feared in a warehouse it'd sit
But found an owner it did,
And some friends to meet,
Even given some tennis balls to hit.

Orientation not very fun. Quite boring. But got funny phrase. The speaker was talking about how the graduate student population in MIT is 30% female and 70% male. Quoting a female grad student on the topic of finding a partner here.... " The odds are good, but the goods are odd." No lah not really. But the quote quite funny.

The weekend quite fun.... not just fun fun that kind of fun. I really had a good weekend.
