Sometimes I wonder if its worth trying to do so much, whether its worth trying to do more than everyone else. In the end, maybe i'll end up where everyone else ends up, no matter how hard i try to be better now. I really don't know why I always feel as though i need to be better.... maybe i'm just scared to lose. Or maybe I feel as though I'm always racing against the clock, to do more in less time. Last time I used to compete with other people... now i find myself even trying to compete with myself. Like attempt to squeeze more and more things into my schedule to "test" myself. Haha I sound insane...
A bit about world affairs....Republican Greenspan says USA should cut SS payouts. Hehehe... immediately after that Bush distances himself from his fellow republican. Kerry says should stop tax cuts? Hmm... i guess this is why there's still a need for economists. They each have to hire a bunch of Ivy League economists to mine data that helps support their cause. Same set of data can always say different things... as long as you pay the statistician well. Sad right?
Ryan air, Air Asia, now there's Tiger Airways... Air Asia hasn't taken off yet right? And there's already a Tiger Airways. For their sake I hope they dun flop. And supposedly Singapore govt's investment arm Temasek Holdings is a partnet in Tiger Airways...so is this some sort of "response" to counter Air Asia? HAha... i just studied for econs, so keep thinking of best responses and Nash Equilibriums. Maybe NE for this will be NO budget airline, and the best action anyone can take now is... SQ ticket prices drop and SQ makes all tickets eligible for frequent flyer. I think i won't mind taking budget airlines... if they were REALLY cheap. Haha... imagine no frills airline from USA to Singapore. I'll have to bring a picnic basket and sleeping bag and portable DVD player or something man. But I doubt they'll have budget airlines from sin to nyc any time soon.
YAY!!! Midterm OVER!! It went quite well actually... i like it when I can just sit down and DO the ppr starting from Qn 1 to the end, without having to skip skip come back later trial and error cancel cancel rub rub.... But it was a weird test where I don't really know if what i did was correct. Just plug in eqn and get answer. At least my answers were nice whole numbers, so I'm a bit more hopeful :)
Suddenly feel very light :) i always have this "weight off my chest" feeling after taking a paper... and it helps that the sun is out too!
