Going off soon...
What an eventful summer it has been, a rollercoaster ride of emotions, and an amazing journey of self-discovery. I have learnt a lot about myself this summer, opened myself to new things, gotten to know more people. The break up was devastating, and finding out about the cheating was even worse. But it has happened and cannot be reversed, so I knew I had to move on too. Still, forgiving is hard, and forgetting is close to impossible. I will have to try not to be so bitter towards him and slowly learn to forgive. Must not bear a grudge and must always make an effort not to sound cold and spiteful. It's hard sometimes when he contacts me cos what he did still hurts but I will try and be nicer.
But Praise the Lord! Because through all the hardship and tears I have found Jesus Christ. Two months ago I would have thought it ridiculous to become a Christian, but now... I'm all excited about my new relationship with Him! It has been amazing how He never left me alone this summer, and each time I felt down and out, He was there, manifested in so many different ways. Can't wait to start going to church with Jiamin :) Yah!! -- if u happen to read this, yes u should be excited about me going to church with you too!!
Last cell group tonight before i leave... *sob* It's been such a wonderful experience getting to know everyone. But although i'm sad to leave... i'm starting to feel more optimistic cos there are things to look forward to as well :)
Will miss netball too. I'm so thankful for the chance to play this year. Definitely helped to take my mind off what happened... At first was afraid that my skills super cannot make it already and so I won't get a chance to play, but bad as I was, I still got my share of court time! Can't wait for next year... I hope I will be back and ready for more action. For now, it'll be a big switch to badminton and erm... bball with big guys. Hahaha.
Still quite a bit of stuff to do before i leave. Repair my laptop, buy a pair of sandals, send some snail mail, write a few cards, PACK!!, play with my sister!.
