Economics Day 2005 -- Upper Egypt Room, University Museum. -- April 22, 2005

I probably could not have asked for a better way to end my undergraduate education in Penn. On the last day of school, I received an award from a Nobel Prize winner! And then to top it all off, I went for Living Water Banquet at night... a senior farewell for my fellowship. My Xanga stalker :) made a very touching speech about me. To be honest with you, stalker, I ALMOST cried. Haha.

So... my prize was called the Lawrence R. Klein Prize for Outstanding Research in Economics by an Undergraduate. And I had no idea Prof Klein was actually attending the ceremony! I actually totally embarrassed myself because he sat down at my table and I didn't know who he was at all so I didn't bother to talk to him until my friend kindly notified me that Prof. Klein was Prof. Klein. Anyway... my thesis was on Racial Disproportion in Wrongful Convictions. Can ask me more if you want to know more about it. I think I was very nervous when I made my speech though... bah. But still, it was an exciting experience indeed!

My thesis advisor Professor Nicola Persico. He wrote my grad school recommendations for me.... and he must have done an extremely good job! I couldn't have asked for a better advisor.... he never put much pressure on me but at the same time always showed enthusiam for what I was doing. Posted by Hello
