Something to remember

I know some of you want to know how I am.... I'm sorry I haven't been in touch. I find it hard to talk about it, cos it brings tears to my eyes. Please don't ask me why he did what he did or how he broke up with me anymore. He had his reasons.

And no, it won't help to tell me he's bad. Cos as much as I understand that I might get over this faster if I thought he was an asshole, I don't. I will get over this, but not by thinking that he was undeserving of me or that he was just using me. Yah, I'll do it the hard way, and for those of you who don't know him, he was a good person.

Today was especially tough. Dun really know why.

Have u heard this story before?

Imagine yourself planting a tree. The tree will block your sight at times. Taking care of it takes time, so you can't always do what you want to do. At times you will feel burdened by it and get angry. But because you're taking care of it still, you feel that the tree should put up with your temper. You may allow yourself to become more and more annoyed by it.. you may even stop taking care of it.
But once the tree dies out and withers away, you'll realize that the tree provided you with a shade. That it was something you could always lean on and find support from. That you needed it as much as it needed you.

Yes, I do feel like that tree. But somehow I don't think the last line applies to me.
